Medic Labs
Incubating Breakthroughs in Precision Public Health
Launched in early 2020 with catalytic capital from The Rockefeller Foundation, Medic Labs incubates long-term breakthrough ideas in data science and precision public health. We build on Medic’s human-centered design philosophy, while creating space to explore new technologies, cultivate new partnerships, and accelerate radical discoveries for our field.
Our deeply multidisciplinary team has more than twenty studies underway, with exciting projects exploring interactive messages with patients, data confidence, and integrating the learning and care experience. We are always seeking new ideas for critical challenges to address together and currently seeking collaboration in the areas below:
Geospatial Data and Guidance for
Care Teams
Enabled by Medic’s global role in the open-source community, the Lab is empowered to use the CHT software and datasets from large-scale implementations as critical scientific infrastructure. This connection enables our work to benefit the whole community as our researchers contribute product enhancements and generate evidence to inform best practice in digital technology for community health.
Moonshot ideas have generated innovations that have transformed health for many. The Rockefeller Foundation is proud to support Medic Labs as they apply this approach to generating new ideas that have the potential to advance precision in public health for all.
