Ahead of this years’ World Health Worker Week, April 1-7, we are excited to announce that we will be holding Medic Mobile’s first giving day this year – Help Us Help Health Workers: 24 Hours of Support for Medic Mobile.
We are taking this opportunity to highlight the health workers that inspire us every day and make our work possible.
Meet Rose Odhiambo.
Rose has been a community health volunteer (CHV) in Siaya County, Kenya for 25 years. She cares for 415 individuals in her community – visiting 5-10 households every day. Last year, Medic Mobile partnered with Siaya County Ministry of Health to equip health volunteers like Rose with our mobile tools to provide care to families in their community.

Our tools help support Rose and health workers like her to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality, improve child health, strengthen health systems, and reduce the burden of disease. Over 18,000 health workers currently use Medic Mobile to provide doorstep care to families in their communities.
We need your help! On April 4th, 2018 at 11:59pm EST this link will go live and stay up for 24 hours. We have set an ambitious goal of raising $10,000. Follow Medic Mobile on social media, @medic on twitter and Medic Mobile on Facebook, to share and learn more about Rose’s story as we get closer to April 5th. Your support leading up to this day – and every day – allows us to fulfill our mission.
Donations can be made at the link above on April 5th to count in our Day of Giving Campaign. Onetime and monthly donations can always be made through our website by clicking the “Get Involved” button in the top right corner and choosing a one-time or reoccurring, monthly gift. There are even more ways to help! If you’d like to donate your travel points – please email travel@medicmobile.org and we will work with you to transfer them to our organizational profiles. Additionally, we are always looking for phone donations – you can donate any old phones you have personally or start a drive for used phones in your community.
